While I refused to shell out the obnoxious amount of cash for the David Gray / Ray LaMontagne show tonight at Millennium Park, I’m ultimately bummed that I will be missing out. Ray is the man and I’ve heard he is amazing live, but I guess it will have to wait until his next tour. I’d rather see him at a smaller venue anyway (it’s true, but it also helps to justify the fact that I’m skipping out this time around).
"Happiness hit her like a train on a track Coming towards her stuck still no turning back She hid around corners and she hid under beds She killed it with kisses and from it she fled With every bubble she sank with her drink And washed it away down the kitchen sink
The dog days are over The dog days are done The horses are coming So you better run”
I highly suggest running (you’ll never be quick enough if you walk) to the Metro ASAP to purchase tickets for the Tokyo Police Club show tomorrow night - Friday, August 20. I can’t vouch for the fact that there are still tickets available, but I can tell you that you are in for a treat if you can make it. Freelance Whales (a new personal favorite) will be opening and their show alone is worth the $18. Plus, it’s on a Friday night. Let’s party.
The day has finally come! I am officially transitioning from Blogger (www.shemovesinherownway-greeneyes.blogspot.com) to Tumblr! I haven’t lost my passion for all things “music-related”, but it was time for a change and I can’t wait to see what happens next…
